    to John McCanna
Grass root movement, or from grass roots up, based party is destined to fail as any other socialist party ever did. Hence the mess we are in. Sadly the good 90% of population of this province are socialists in total dependence on government to make any decisions for them. Grass roots/democracy is a rule of mob/majority. The cruel reality is that the Majority is always wrong. The Republic is traditionally based on the rule of Law, not democracy. As a matter of fact the only successful systems in history are the Constitutional Monarchy or the Constitutional Republic precisely because they are based on the rule of Law. In moment they introduced "grass root movement/democracy they inevitably failed. (Canada/USA/EU)
That law cannot come from the Grass Roots either. Johnny the socialist idiot has the right to command his own affairs (under Law), but he certainly has no right to make any decisions which would affect livelihood of his sane neighbours in any way. The Mob always demands more, and since they have a guaranteed majority (there is always more stupid and immoral Takers than smart and moral Makers) they will inevitably get it. The Makers will inevitably run out of ability to provide for takers. The end of the country or the empire . . . you are living it in a very real terms right about. . . now. I hope you are in full enjoyment of “inclusion”.

Lastly, all party positions, including the Leader, shall be voted in by the membership, to demonstrate openness and inclusion. If this is left to the Board and/or the Executives, the optics would be very bad.

The By-Laws should also include “bottom-up” power from the grass roots, such that the AIP doesn’t turn into a corrupt party that has all the power at the top and only listens to the Leader, the executive and the board of directors.

The path should include verbiage to merge with other separatist parties to create one strong party.
