We are pleased to announce the successful completion of our first Annual General Meeting. The meeting was held completely online due to Covid-19 restrictions and party members from all over Alberta were able to participate.

Independence Party of Alberta Announces Successful Online AGM
We are pleased to announce the successful completion of our first Annual General Meeting. The meeting was held completely online due to Covid-19 restrictions and party members from all over Alberta were able to participate. The technology worked exceptionally well and the party will be doing more online events with the members over the coming weeks and months.
Dave Campbell, President of the Party commented 'Attendance was good, given the limitations from Covid regulations but the technology allowed for a great way to communicate and interact with our members in a safe manner. I would like to thank all attendees for their contribution.'
The online AGM was required given the regulations from Alberta Health canceling all gatherings of more than 15 and we were happy to have the technology available to provide information about the party and presentations to members while following the government guidelines and ensuring the safety of our members. The meeting also permitted online interaction and electronic voting on motions using technologies from Zoom and Nation Builder.
Pat Reilly the Executive Director of the party added, 'It was great to get positive feedback on the party’s financial plan and shadow budget. I think it was clear to those in attendance that Alberta will be significantly better off financially as its own country'.
The Alberta Independence Party is the only registered political party that ran on a platform of independence in the last provincial election.
